Day 1; Depart Taichung/Taipei.Drive up to Snow mountain tunnel on the nr 3 national road;to Ilan and then down the scenic coastal So Ao highway to taroko Gorge.If we make it to the Grand Formosa hotel in the gorge before 1:30 PM we will enjoy a buffet lunch there. If not we will have lunch at the other restaurant at the visitor center.Enroute to Hualien and check-in at hotel. Dinner at shrimp dumpling restaurant ( airconditioned) walking distance from hotel.
Day 2:
Drive down the scenic highway 11 along the coast and stop regularly for photo op’s etc.
Return to Hualien late afternoon . Dinner and then visit jade/marble market in Haulien. Famous rainbow jade and rose stone on sale ( only found in Hualien area).Dinner in Japanese Restaurant.
Day 3
Drive down Hua Tung valley ( east Rift valley) and stop at rice co-op and rice field art .Visit world famous Museum of pre-history ( aboriginal history of Taiwan) - this is optional if you would rather go to Kenting through the Mudan aboriginal area.Check in at Kenting and then dinner at Cucina’s Italian Restaurant – visit street market .
Day 4:
Drive back to Taichung – if you want to stop at the famous aquarium with whale sharks on the way just let me know. The entrance is Nt 450 per person ( for your own account)
Cost per person sharing is NT 11800 (Min 4 persons) . Less than 4 persons? Please ask for quote.
