Green Island Adventures - Hualien/Taroko Packages & Kinmen
Travel Taiwan! True to it's Portuguese name - "Il ha de Formosa",
which translates into "beautiful island", Taiwan offers tourists
not only affordable travel with great weather all year round, but also
cross cultural experiences and excellent Asian cuisine.
Traveling in Taiwan soon leaves the visitor astounded with the amount
of cultural -and natural diversity packed into such a limited geographical
space. Driving from North to South (Keeling to Henchman Peninsula), its
northern and southernmost tip, is possible within a day. You'd drive past
emerald-peaked mountains, long stretches of coast, slumbering hamlets,
bustling 24 hour cities, rice fields and harbors, but this would not do
justice to what Taiwan offers. Rather pre-select certain destinations
and we will try and tailor-fit a package that is suitable to your expectations
and budget.

Hualien/Taroko Packages:
Travel Taiwan ! The East Coast National Scenic Area was authorized as
Taiwan's 2nd national scenic area in 1987. It's territory is a strip of
land and ocean which lies mainly on the east side of the coastal range
of Taiwan from the Hualien River mouth in the north to Siaoyeliou near
Taitung in the south, and also include the Siouguluan river white water
rafting segment, located below Rueisuei as well as Green Island. The area
is a total of 41 484 hectares. This unique national scenic area contains
abundant natural resources: a combination of mountain, sea and island
sites. Visiting Toroko Gorge and diving in the coral waters of Green Island
are tourist highlights in this area.

Testimonials/feedback from recent guests:
hi Eddie... i just wanted to express my gratitude for all that you put together for my mom and i... it was a fantastic trip!!!
Janneane
Eddie,
I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic trip and are very grateful for your work putting it together. The high speed train was great. All the travel connections were very smooth and easy and people were always there to help us on our way. Mr. Chen at the hotel on Green Island took good care of us and was especially good with the kids (making them food and tea late at night, for example, and giving them little toys and candy). I didn’t even know we had a tour planned for Taroko Gorge, but that was great as well. We were very impressed by the people at the hotel in Hualien. My son left an electronic thingy on the tour bus, for example. We called the tour bus company, but they said they couldn’t find it. The owner (manager?) of the hotel (and one of the desk girls - Cherry), whom we had not met before, came and got us in his car and drove us to the bus yard in the evening to look for ourselves on the bus and we found the thingy. My son was quite relieved and we were impressed that this man would go out of his way to help strangers. We had Ocean Park almost to ourselves, there were so few people. My kids loved it because they didn’t have to get off the rides and get in line again – they could just keep going around and around. I’m sure you arranged that, as well. Overall, we felt like it was a charmed trip. Thanks again. We would definitely do this trip again and will recommend your company to our friends here. I’ll attach a few pictures. Dear Eddie
The trip to Jinmen was great, thoroughly enjoyed it, even getting lost late at nightad itide – riding a motor scooter and being escorted by one of the few police cars on Jinmen back to our hotel with flashing blue and red lights was a highlight! People were all very friendly and helpful, and the history and mystery of the island is fascinating.
Thnks and cheers
Richard Mathews.

Kinmen Island– A Blast from the Past!
.... ..
For those who always wanted to time-travel, Kinmen is the answer.
This small island on Mainland China’s Fujian coast (Yes you can actually see China’s Xiamen coastline from Kinmen!) has occupied a special position through Sung, Ming and Ching Dynasties and it is easy to see why once you start exploring the island.
Traditional Chinese architecture abounds on this clean, pristine island. Once a very strategic military outpost and the scene of a war with China, it’s major attractions now are more friendly and fascinating in nature. White sandy beaches greet you everywhere and horseback riding on the beach is a favorite pastime for visitors. Bird lovers are in for a special treat as well, the rich sea-life attracts a multitude of bird species, Great Cormorants and other species flourish in this “Park in the Ocean” as Kinmen is also known.
Kaoliang liquor is a big business here ( sorghum and wheat farms are organically tilled ) and with the local ceramic works ( special ceramic vessels for Kaoliang liquor are sold in quaint little traditional shops in beautiful restored little streets) offers visitors a rare opportunity to purchase souvenirs not easily found elsewhere.
Being located in a rich fishing area , visitors are never disappointed with both variety and styles of seafood. Cuisine is heavily influenced by Fujianese cooking and don’t forget the string noodles still made in the old way.
Hotel:
The hotel is conveniently located and part of an old restored village boasting some of the best traditional architecture and historic sites on Kinmen. Horses can also be rented at the hotel and for more proficient riders the nearby beach offers great equestrian fun.
