If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Taiwan, Green Island's just the place. A nature-lover's paradise, this island is sparsely-populated and can be circumnavigated in 30 minutes by scooter. Except for a few small towns on the western and northern part of the island, the island has been kept free from commercial development. This offers visitors unspoiled natural beauty both on and offshore. The climate on Green Island is tropical and the water temperature is fairly constant throughout the year 24 -29 Deg C, making it a great place to dive and enjoy the beach in Taiwan's winter months. Green Island "Sea View Hostel Package - Cheap & Easy "
Finally we have a place we can call our own. Some of our Western customers want a holiday experience that reminds of home, with BBQ's ( Braai's!) beer and wine and sea views to top it all off nicely. Well, we finally got a place for you guys on Green Island and the prices are cheap (even over holiday periods!).We are located 2 minutes from the salt water hot springs by scooter , 3 minutes from Da Bai Sha Beach by scooter and we sell beef- (Boerewors!), pork- & curry-pork sausages, vacuum packed, as well as marinated pork ribs and thick beef and pork steaks; beer, red wine and white wine as well as soft drinks are available and we also sell some veggies and of course potatos with mayonaise if you want to make a potato salad + the charcoal to cook it all. We have amenities for you to cook and enjoy yourself - and the view in the picture below is real! as viewed from where you BBQ and stay! Accommodations are basic with shared bathrooms and dorm style beds as well as 2 semi-private rooms, but the prices are cheap, affording you the opportunity to stay longer. There is a little harbor in front of us where kids & parents can play and snorkel with a clown fish colony right there in the harbor - Hello NEMO! We even have goats to trim the lawns in front! - This place is ideal for family vacations.Of course our scuba center is right next door ( with more bathrooms) where you can join us for scuba or rent snorkeling gear..even kayaks if you like.Our bamboo showers have sea-views! & hot water!

Some of our customers want to experience Green Island in a more environmentally friendly easy going way at affordable rates without losing basic amenities such as air conditioning, TV and private bathrooms . We have therefore decided to cooperate with a small boutique establishment located in the little town close to the Human rights Memorial Park, Museums, with seaside walks and a small little harbor in a quiet little village, affording our guests a convenient place of stay on the island with the ocean 1 minite's walk away - also home to the best little BBQ restaurant on Green Island.Note! If you do not want to ride a motorcycle please use this option.

What to do when I get there?
The activities on Green Island include diving, snorkeling, hiking, salt water hot springs and fishing. There is not a lot of nightlife here, except for the nightly parties down at the hot springs (one of only three sea water hot springs in the world!). BUT the little town boasts many little restaurants and food stalls and as always cold beer everywhere. Coral reefs abound around the island and are easily accessible. Snorkeling and scuba diving excursions are well organized and can be arranged easily. Tropical fish and coral reefs create a spectacular underwater display, even at shallow depths, and the clear, calm waters offer great visibility. Green Island offers nice restaurants and small breakfast shops ,and the food is not expensive ( fried rice+- NT 60) Where to eat on Green Island?

NB:!Please note that during peak season and long weekends we try to find accommodations for our guests all over the island - so a specific hotel can not be promised - try to give us a few package options and we will do our best to get you a room .
These packages were specifically designed with foreign visitors in mind. The package makes getting there easy; there is someone to greet you and assist you on all legs of the trip. Once you arrive on the island your hosts will greet you at the dock or airport and escort you to your hotel
Please remember to take sea-sickness tablets if you are prone to getting queezy on boats
There are no credit card facilities on Green Island and the ATM machine only accepts local banks' cash cards.So bring enough cash with you please.
