TAITUNG HOSTEL/HOUSE

Finally we now have an affordable, even cheap accommodation alternative, at our Taitung house/hostel in Fugang Harbor, where the ferry departs for Green Island and also Orchid Island. We can offer you ferry tickets and packages at a discount to Green Island and Orchid island too.This is my vacation home that I make available for our guests to save on accommodations when they want to go to the islands and get in Taitung too late to catch the last ferry. It is in a working fishing village overlooking the harbor and has a nice temple dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea - MATZU. We have a hostel pick-up and drop-off service from the train station and Bus Stations in Taitung as well as Taitung Airport, at small extra cost, and bicycle rentals to explore the beautiful Highway 11 Coast-line in South East Taiwan all the way up to Hualien, although you can rent bikes at the train station too.We are not easy to find and require you use the pick up service when we are not there - they have the house keys!

We also rent the house out to families and groups for holidays to explore the East Coast of Taiwan. The rate is NT 3000 per day min 3 days - sleeps 12 persons.

In addition we offer scuba courses and also scuba diving in Taitung; some of Taiwan's most prestine under water havens very few have seen before.Taitung offers great surfing as well - so surfers are welcome.Don't forget the seafood!, freshly cooked right here in the harbor to your taste or join us in a BBQ overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Cyclists are welcome! We have free drinking water for cyclists and safe overnight parking for bicycles.We can also do minor repairs to cycles.

Green Island "Sea View Hostel Package - Cheap & Easy " Finally we have a place we can call our own. Some of our Western customers want a holiday experience that reminds of home, with BBQ's ( Braai's!) beer and wine and sea views to top it all off nicely. Well, we finally got a place for you guys on Green Island and the prices are cheap (even over holiday periods!).We are located 2 minutes from the salt water hot springs by scooter , 3 minutes from Da Bai Sha Beach by scooter and we sell beef- (Boerewors!), pork- & curry-pork sausages, vacuum packed, as well as marinated pork ribs and thick beef and pork steaks; beer, red wine and white wine as well as soft drinks are available and we also sell some veggies and of course potatos with mayonaise if you want to make a potato salad + the charcoal to cook it all. We have amenities for you to cook and enjoy yourself - and the view in the picture below is real! as viewed from where you BBQ and stay! Accommodations are basic with shared bathrooms and dorm style beds as well as 2 semi-private rooms, but the prices are cheap, affording you the opportunity to stay longer. There is a little harbor in front of us where kids & parents can play and snorkel with a clown fish colony right there in the harbor - Hello NEMO! We even have goats to trim the lawns in front! - This place is ideal for family vacations.Of course our scuba center is right next door ( with more bathrooms) where you can join us for scuba or rent snorkeling gear..even kayaks if you like.Our bamboo showers have sea-views! & hot water!
